Job description:

Tecknoworks is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Web Developer to join our team. As a Web Developer you are critical in the delivery of high quality, fully functional websites to our customers. Our developers inject innovation and creativity into our projects, they are respected for their knowledge, skill, and ability to solve technical challenges (even when it seems impossible). In addition to the obvious developer skills (producing fantastic code and talking about the latest gadgets), our developers must be able to continue to develop their knowledge and skills in new technologies; we believe being a geek is central to this role. Developing software is sometimes challenging, however, if you like to think about software till your brain hurts and create beautiful code, whilst developing your own knowledge, you may just solve the riddle of the universe at Tecknoworks

Candidate Profile:

• Higher education Bachelors (preference given to computing, mathematics and engineering disciplines) 
• Software development experience of at least 2 years 
• Skilled in PHP, HTML5, XML, CSS3 and JavaScript 
• Knowledge and practical application of OOP concepts, design patterns, coding standards and best practices 
• Experience in developing SOAP and REST web services 
• Genuine interest and passion for technology and Web and mobile applications (geeks welcome) 
• Practical experience of managing Browser and platforms requirements 
• Experience with any MVC framework (Zend, Symphony, Laravel, etc.) 
• Experience with any Content Management System (WordPress, Drupal, Magento, Joomla, etc.) 
• Experience with any JavaScript framework (jQuery, jQuery Mobile, AngularJS, Bootstrap, Prototype.js, Backbone.js, Dojo.js, etc.) 
• Experience using GIT or similar version control system 
• Experience collaborating in a variety of project environments (e.g Agile vs. Waterfall) 
• Ability to understand the customer expectations and proactively suggest better solutions 
• Ability to work within a diverse team of skill and personality in the delivery of high-quality products (we like quality) 
• Ability to give constructive feedback on the work of others (in a technical capacity) 
• Working knowledge of English
